Welcome to the Valley Center Primary

Home of the Bees

Welcome to Valley Center Primary School, our buzzing hive of learning and adventure, where we embrace the motto: "Bee Happy, Bee Kind, and Bee a Friend!" We eagerly anticipate the exciting journey that our busy bees will begin on Thursday, August 22nd. We look forward to seeing their smiling faces as they dive into a day filled with new friendships, engaging activities, and the joy of learning.

Valley Center Primary School serves approximately 526 students from transitional kindergarten through second grade and has been a cherished part of our community for 37 years. We are proud to welcome both long-time families with cherished memories and new community members who are bringing their students to our school, seeking the same nurturing and enriching environment for their children

We are committed to creating a safe, equitable, and inclusive community where students, teachers, and families collaborate to foster a dynamic learning environment. Our goal is to empower students with strong foundational skills while nurturing their creativity and curiosity so they become lifelong learners. We support each student's academic, social, and emotional growth, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Valley Center Primary School upholds high academic standards in all core subjects and provides students with the tools and resources needed to achieve these standards while supporting their social and emotional development. We believe that learning should be enjoyable and engaging, ensuring that students look forward to school each day. In addition to core subjects, we offer a dual language academic pathway starting in kindergarten, along with technology integration, music, and a new art program. This school year, we are implementing a new math curriculum and will provide additional resources to both teachers and parents to support students as they develop their math skills.

We encourage parents to take an active role in their child's educational journey. A strong partnership between school and home is essential for a child's overall development and success. There will be numerous opportunities to engage with teachers, participate in school events, and be involved in the school community. We invite all parents to attend all our school events and join our clubs and committees, such as the Teacher Parent Club (TPC), School Site Council (SSC), Title VI committee, and English Language Advisory Council (ELAC).

As we begin the new school year, we would like to provide you with some additional information:
